Curriculum Overview

CBSE - Taught the Vijaya way.

Vijaya Public School follows the CBSE curriculum, taught by people who've been doing this for a long time. CBSE gives us the syllabus. How we teach it with curiosity, patience and attention towards each child is ours.

Early Years - Montessori 1 to UKG

The most formative years in a child's life.

What happens between the ages of three and six, shapes a lot of what follows. So we take it seriously. Our Early Years programme follows the Montessori method: children exploring, choosing and discovering at their own pace, in a space built just for them.

Student-led learning with teacher support—no rigid seating or repetitive rote work.
Learning materials designed to build independence through hands-on tasks.
Purposeful activities that turn play into meaningful learning experiences.

We understand the first day of school can be a significant milestone for both you and your child. Our Montessori-trained teachers are dedicated to ensuring a gentle and supportive transition, and we will keep you closely informed as your child settles into their new environment.

Primary School

Where learning becomes a habit.

During these formative years, children naturally begin to shape their attitude toward learning. We are dedicated to fostering a positive and enthusiastic outlook by presenting subjects as interconnected concepts rather than isolated topics, supported by educators who value student growth far beyond standard test performance.

What we're really building

The confidence to sit with a hard problem instead of giving up on it
The instinct to ask for help, without feeling embarrassed about it
Listening before disagreeing
Genuine pride in work done well

Middle School

The years that shaped more than academics.

What we're really building

Subject specialists who get adolescence, not just the curriculum
Real early leadership - student council, club committees, running events
Room to chase an idea past what's in the textbook

High School

Prepared for what's ahead.

The senior years are a pivotal time, involving board examinations and significant choices as students begin to define their future paths. We approach this stage with dedicated mentorship and consistent support, providing an attentive, balanced, and serene environment that allows students to navigate these challenges with clarity and confidence.

Learning Approach

The question behind every lesson.

Before any lesson is planned at VPS, our teachers ask themselves one question: will this actually help a child think, or just help them remember?

How we teach

Critical thinking over passive learning
Collaboration over competition
Communication over passive listening
Creativity over copying

While smart boards and digital technologies are valuable classroom assets, they serve only as aids to instruction. The core of the educational experience remains the meaningful connection between student and teacher, which continues to be the primary catalyst for effective learning.
